Is there a SINGLE “as seen on TV” product that actually works/isn’t a scam?

I know that all those “as seen on TV” products are pieces of junk, and I don’t know why any one would order one. Every one has horror stories of trying to return them. I’m wondering if any one has ever ordered any thing from TV that they thought was actually worth their money and did what the commercial said it would do.

LOL the magic bullet (blender) thing is better than my expensive Cuisinart. I watched that info mercial a thousand times, bought and it actually works great I use it constantly to make sauces, dips and even drinks. Let’s you be really creative and easy clean up.

Do NOT try Smooth Away — it’s basically sand paper in a gripable handle that you run on your legs — all it does it cause dry skin, and then the hair is still there.

my job for several years required me to continuously watch infomercials, and you are justified to be skeptical. The FTC eventually catches up to those that make impossible promises or use fake testimonials. a few are ok products that are way over sold, if you can get past the hype, then you realize the reason they are not sold in stores is they are too cheaply made. And there are a few gems that really do offer something of actual value.

my advice is never purchase on the basis of seeing one infomercial. if it sounds good, watch the infomercial a couple of more times to try and get past the hype and hear what they actually say. if a product is a good seller, it will be advertised over and over, so never feel compelled to rush to purchase. also, all of these products will offer live demonstrations at county fair and similar expositions, so you can see and feel how the product works and its quality of construction.
